Don’t forget COMPONENTS SERIES which runs the next three Sundays at the CENTER FOR CREATIVE PRACTICES. 11th April - Kate Ellis, 18th April - David Bremner, 25th April - Cathal Roche.

There is an interesting concept behind this series, which has been running for three weeks now, in that each composition by the various Irish Composers Collective composers involved, gets remanifested a number of times through recording and electroacoustic manipulation. For instance, pieces for the next concert (cello and electronics/tape), performed by Kate Ellis, will be recorded, and this recording will be the source material for the electroacoustic manipulations for the next show in the series, David Bremner (fender rhodes). The EA tape parts for the Kate Ellis cello show will have been formed in the same way. And so on. This series takes place at the Centre for Creative Practices, an exciting new venue at 15 Lower Pembroke Street, Dublin 2.
