Clara Taylor

Clara Taylor is a composer from Dublin. She graduated in 2014 with an M.Phil in Music Composition from Trinity College Dublin where she studied under the tutelage of Donnacha Dennehy, Linda Buckley and Evangelia Rigaki. She also has a B.A. (hons) in Applied Music in from Dundalk Institute of Technology where she studied under David Stalling.

The ConTempo Quartet, Lucilinn Ensemble and the Fidelio Trio, among others, have performed Clara’s compositions. Alongside composing, she worked as a violin teacher for a few years but gave it up in 2015 to travel the world and worked remotely as a music engraver and arranger. She now returns to Dublin hoping to focus more on arranging and orchestration alongside composing original pieces.
