Fergus Grant

// bio

Fergus Grant (b.1993) is a Dublin-based composer and musician, and is currently studying music in Trinity College Dublin. Fergus comes from a background of traditional music, and began learning the tin whistle at six years of age. At nine, he began to teach himself the guitar, and later the piano at fourteen. He also worked hard at training his ear during his teens, seeing as (having received no formal training) he would have to rely on it to further pursue his musical studies. Fergus has also dabbled in technology and electronic music; having won a remix contest for Red Bull Records, and produced a number of songs for bands. This interest in technology has not been abandoned in his current compositional pursuits.
