Sanne Saajos

Sanne Saajos, a native of Finland, is a young composer studying in the Royal Irish Academy of Music in Dublin with Kevin O'Connell and previously in Turku Arts Academy in Finland with Tuomo Teirilä.

She is also experienced musician playing the violin and piano. Her teachers have been ie. Michael D'arcy in Dublin, Alexander Vinnitski and Elzbieta Guzek-Soini in Finland.

She has had private tuition on composition with Finnish composers Seppo Pohjola and Juhani Nuorvala (the head of the composition department in Sibelius Academy) and also Jörd Widmann (Germany) and Jonathan Dove (England).

In addition to music she is an active environmentalist: previously in Greenpeace volunteers and now a member of the Irish Whale and Dolphin Group.
